PIZZAPIZZA was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create authentic Neapolitan pizza that honors Italian tradition while embracing Canadian ingredients and sensibilities. Our journey began in 2009 when our founder, Maria Rossi, returned to Canada after spending five years training with master pizzaiolos in Naples, Italy.
Inspired by the vibrant food scenes of both Milan and Toronto, Maria sought to create a dining experience that would transport guests to the bustling trattorias of urban Italy while maintaining the warm hospitality that Canadians are known for.
What started as a single location with a hand-built wood-fired oven has grown into a beloved brand with a dedicated following. Today, PIZZAPIZZA continues to uphold its commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation in everything we do.

Our Pizza-Making Process
The Perfect Dough
Our dough begins with a proprietary blend of high-protein Canadian and Italian flours. After mixing, it undergoes a 72-hour cold fermentation process, developing complex flavors and the perfect texture.
Premium Ingredients
We source the finest ingredients, including San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, and both imported Italian specialties and locally grown Canadian produce for the freshest toppings.
Hand-Crafted Shaping
Each ball of dough is hand-stretched by our trained pizzaiolos. We never use rolling pins, preserving the air pockets that create our signature light and airy crust.
Wood-Fired Perfection
Our authentic Neapolitan ovens reach temperatures of 850-900°F, allowing each pizza to cook in just 90 seconds. This high-heat cooking creates the characteristic leopard-spotted char while maintaining a soft, tender center.
